When the clock struck midnight on Friday the 19th , Taylor Swift's highly anticipated album "The Tortured Poets Department" was released. However, 2 hours later Taylor swifted her fans on Instagram and X with THIS! 

 

 

 

 

Taylor dropped a secret double-album surprise announcement at 2 am upon the release of "The Tortured Poets Department", striking fans with an extra 15 songs she revealed she had recorded for

her 11th album release, which are now available on “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” - the internet is living for this, keep reading to know why!

 

"I'd written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you..." Taylor sentimentally states in her post.


4 bonus tracks had already been announced alongside TTPD's original tracklist; "The Manuscript", "The Bolter", "The Albatross" and "The Black Dog". They were supposed to be released on

seperate physical album variants but now that the torture threshold took on a whole new level - these tracks and 11 more make up the second installment of TTPD.

About 1.4mn of that came from traditional format sales , including 600,000 vinyl copies as well as CDs and cassettes which is considered to be an unusual feat in a country where streaming is the

The music video of "Fortnight" - the first single off the album featuring Post Malone - premiered on Friday night.

 

“I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever,” Swift said on social media.

The singer said she “can’t wait” for people to hear the song.
