A big day is coming up for the East Asian community, and we know exactly where you need to be!

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for families to gather around for dinner, lighting lanterns and of course, eating lots of mooncakes.

Traditionally, the festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th month–which happens to be on Friday, September 13 this year.

If you were wondering where to head to for the grand celebration in the capital, look no further than the Instagrammable Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri.

With two of the luxurious hotel’s best restaurants hosting a series of cultural performances, lantern-making workshops and special dinners, it simply doesn’t get better than this.

You can make a beeline for either award-winning Chinese restaurant, Shang Palace or one of our favorite Vietnamese spots, Hoi An–with both venues offering delicious street food options and all the mooncakes you can get your hands on.

There’ll also be live entertainment with traditional Chinese instruments and hang drum followed by a lantern-releasing ceremony from 7pm onwards at the infinity pool.
